Professional career:

  • Professional equestrian apprenticeship with Beat Brägger (rider of the Swiss Federal Military Horse Institute Bern EMPFA) in Steinhausen
  • Subsequently, Georg Wahl's student for many years
  • Military training with the train troops (horse transport troops) up to first lieutenant
  • Six months stay at the NRW state stud in Warendorf under Mr. Wolfgang Hölzel, director of the German riding school
  • Several teaching and training stays with various dressage masters in Germany and Switzerland. U.a. Günter Festerling, Herbert Rehbein, Reiner Klimke, Harry Bolt, Fredy Kniesen.
  • Six months of military training with Tomi Gretener in Cirencester GB and successes up to class M with his Grand Prix horse "Lurifax" at the time
  • After the apprenticeship and traveling years "master's examination" with Paul Weier in Elgg
  • Own training stable in Bäretswil with 30 horses, boarding house, training and trade.
  • Judge up to Grand Prix in Switzerland and international FEI judge.
  • Instructor of many students and instructors up to GP, member of IDTC (Internat. Dressage Trainer Club)
  • Former judge trainer in Switzerland
  • Long-standing expert for the riding instructor exams (master’s examination) in Elgg, dressage division (Paul Weier)
  • Member of Switzerland Commission for stallion performance tests
  • Working as a trainer in various countries, partly as a "national trainer" Thailand / Turkey / South Africa / China / Greece / USA / France / Italy / Austria / Germany
  • 2008 awarded by the FEI with the golden badges of honor for special services in equestrian sport (Golden Badges of Honor).

 

Sporting successes:

  • 3x Swiss Elite Champions and a total of 7 medals to SM of the Elite
  • Member of Team Switzerland at the Olympic Games in Atlanta 1996 and Olympic diploma in 6th team rank
  • Countless victories at home and abroad with a total of 16 self-trained Grand Prix horses
  • His best placement: 7th place individual ranking at the World Equestrian Games in The Hague in 1994 in the GP Special with his top horse "DUKAAT" at the time
  • "Warbeau" e.g. Participation in the EM in Rotterdam 2011 and EM 2013 in Herning, as well as World Equestrian Games in Cean 2014
  • Longstanding member of the Swiss dressage team
  • Current world rankings dressage on July 22nd, 2013 No. 133
  • 2019 9 S victories in CH and D with the 8-year-old "Lionel"
  • Bearer of the German equestrian badge in gold
