Sustainability at Albfuehren

From harvesting hay on our own meadows and cultivating grain, to providing our horses with natural spring water and growing fruit and vegetables on the estate - sustainable management has always been a top priority at Albführen.
Even the manure removed several times daily from the horse stables contributes to our sustainability efforts. It is used for energy production in a nearby biogas plant. The remaining substrate from this process is then applied as fertilizer on our meadows and arable land, allowing us to almost completely avoid the need for industrial fertilizers.
